Dear Athene Guild,

welcome to the first Kukka magazine of the autumn semester.

This specimen has, once again, been grown in the tender care of Sammatti, where the echoes of reason do not overwhelm the editorial process.

The name of the 2023 Mökkikukka was decided to be Kielikukka, which from Finnish as well as from various other languages translates to both language and tongue. The choice was hugely influenced by the diversity of nationalities in this year's editorial team, as well as by their admirable set of language skills. The Athene Guild is an ever-evolving international community, and it was about time that the winds of change blew through the Kukka magazines. We are proud to offer entertainment that reaches a wider range of Guild members than ever before.

In addition, tongue is definitely one of the editorial team's favourite organs. After all, it is a uniquely versatile bouquet of flesh, offering opportunities for taste, hearing and tactile pleasures alike. Tongues keep us alive, connected - and, in the best cases, even happy.

In addition to linguistic accessibility, the expertise of the on-site editorial team provided opportunities to raise the level of technical implementation. Huge thanks to the iron-clad professional deck team (Jasse) who, again, put in long days to make this happen.
